Silver futures dropped by Rs 1,662 to Rs 68,300 per kg on Friday as contributors decreased their bets on low demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March supply tumbled Rs 1,662, or 2.38 per cent, to Rs 68,300 per kg in a enterprise turnover of 13,741 heaps.
Globally, silver traded 2.79 per cent decrease at USD 26.50 per ounce in New York.
