Nickel futures slide on tepid demand

Nickel costs on Friday fell by 1.32 per cent to Rs 1,311.80 per kg in futures commerce after members offloaded their positions amid weak demand in spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel contracts for January supply traded decrease by Rs 17.60, or 1.32 per cent, to Rs 1,311.80 per kg with a enterprise turnover of 1,981 tons.

Analysts mentioned subdued demand in spot market primarily led to the autumn in nickel futures costs.
