NEW DELHI: The nation’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) on Tuesday mentioned it has shortlisted 5 new startups as a part of its third cohort of MAIL (Mobility & Automobile Innovation Lab) programme.

The 5 new startups chosen in Cohort three are Clean Slate, Peer Robotics, Vicara, Hyper Reality, and URJA. With the addition of those 5 startups, Maruti Suzuki is now engaged with 14 startups beneath the MAIL programme within the final 18 months, the corporate mentioned in an announcement.

Maruti Suzuki India’s MAIL initiative helps startups by co-creating revolutionary enterprise options. It was launched with an intention to nurture innovation within the car and mobility sector in partnership with GHV Accelerator in January 2019. The initiative goals to create an atmosphere to nurture, foster and information the early-stage startups, the corporate mentioned.

The 5 startups of cohort three underwent an in depth shortlisting course of that included screening and pitch periods. Clean Slate Technologies, a startup from Bengaluru, stood because the winner of the programme, adopted by Peer Robotics from Gurgaon as 1st runner up and Vicara from Bengaluru because the 2nd runner up.
