Chennai: Daimler India (Commercial Vehicle), a subsidiary of Stuttgart-based Daimler, has plans to broaden dealership community to over 250 shops by this year-end, a high official has mentioned. The dealership community would improve by 10 per cent this yr chopping down the space between dealerships from the present 160 km to 120 km. “We are steadily expanding our dealer network to ensure that all customers have easy access to our products and services,” the corporate’s vice-president (advertising and gross sales) Rajaram Krishnamurthy mentioned. “That is a dedication we made to BharatBenz patrons from the start, and we’ll proceed to honour it,” he mentioned. Daimler India has invested over Rs 5,500 crore on the 400-acre facility at Oragadam close to Chennai.
