Copper futures rise marginally on recent bets

Copper costs on Wednesday rose 1 per cent to Rs 622.65 per kg within the futures commerce on a pick-up within the spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for the January supply traded larger by Rs 6.15, or 1 per cent, at Rs 622.65 per kg in a enterprise turnover of 5,296 heaps.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper costs to extend in bets by individuals, pushed by a pick-up within the spot demand.
