Bank of Baroda rolls out free counselling for 8,000 staff

NEW DELHI: Bank of Baroda introduced that it has rolled out free and nameless psychological counselling for 8000 odd staff on a pilot foundation.

The public-sector financial institution has a complete of 84,000 staff nationally. The program will cowl all staff within the Mumbai zone.

Prakash Vir Rathi, normal supervisor (human useful resource administration), in a cellphone name with ET stated that the coronavirus pandemic had raised stress ranges amongst staff. The worker help program was geared toward assuaging stress among the many financial institution’s staff, particularly youthful staff. Around 60% of the financial institution’s staff are aged between 18-35 years.

“They usually face peer stress, profession and ambition points, relationship / adjustment points, and so on. In such instances, skilled counselling shall be of immense assist in offering well timed help to them for his or her emotional worries,” stated Rathi.

Sanjiv Chadha, managing director and chief govt of the financial institution stated, “This counselling service offered by the Bank in tie-up with a specialized service provider is safe, non-judgmental, and highly confidential and is available to the employees and their family members 24/7”.

The program is being carried out in affiliation with EAP India.
